battle items
i think there should be a minor item(s) that dies over time/zones/death that gives a useful benifit.they should be rare(very) and give minor boosts per class.you should only be alowed 1 in use at a time the 2nd canceling out the 1st.
like the old school D&D ion stones.
general(to last till death or zone)
+5 health(white)
+3 energy(blue)
+1 health regen(purple)
+1 energy regen(purple)
P.s. with a quick item launch window this is a great way to help the assassin class as well ie. smoke bomb that gives 75% chance to evade melee and arrows for 20 seconds(now that makes them a ninga/theif)
class specific(120 second duration/death or zone)
+1 attribute(gold)
+1 attribute to all primary(green)
just a little somthing to give charecters a boost.
or make them mini pets with a funtion other than looks.......

Two things, actually. I believe that the Prophecies CE came with a special item like that (may have been the SE, can't remember and I'm only working with what I heard from one guy). Also, when your region has favor, you can get many of the benefits that you've mentioned here from the statues.
Something like this could be unbalancing for PvP, so it'd have to be disabled for that (just like the Candy Canes), and it'd probably make PvE too easy. I don't know about you, but that +1 Regen would be a permanent addition to my Ranger just for his 2 Vampiric weapons.
Beyond that, I don't think that there's a need for this, and it kinda goes against the basic format of the current game to have consumable items like this.
I don't really care for this myself, but I won't write it off completely. Show me a need or something more than a "easy button" and I'll at least think about it.

well im not an easy buton guy,and dumb them down if my ideas were to powerful.i just think that consumable items that give bonuses other than candy canes would be neat.make them 2 times or more rare as dye drops...so the idea of trying to sustain the bonus is silly, unless yer rich.....and make the drop so that it is like a dye drop in the fact that any monster can drop them(bosses for the greens).and about the +1 regen lets make em all on a timer.i guess im just disapointed in the mini pets as they are just deco. im aware of the statues and think of contries that seldom get favor(im american so this doesnt apply to me lol).

You make a valid point about the countries that don't usually get favor (Japan comes to mind), but I'm still not totally sold on the idea. But, yeah, a time limit would be a much better idea IMO.
And mini pets are just that, fluff. Yet, I take my Fungal Wallow with me everywhere, because it's cool. I mean, A.Net gave me a cool thing because my character was a year old, what more could I ask? ^^

NOT TO ALL: For future reference, look at his avatar BEFORE reading his post. His point will become more valid.... for some reason...
They're a little underpowered. Maybe you could use the format similar to that of scrolls?
and increase energy for example by a small percentage... like 5% normal, and 10% gold.
